At Soul Food, we believe in showing up when it matters most. In recent weeks, our Emergency Response Centre (ERC) in Bitou has been on the frontline, bringing relief and hope to communities devastated by disaster.
- In Umtata, in partnership with the Small Projects Foundation, we responded to severe flooding, ensuring affected families received essential supplies.
- In Bossiesgif, Plettenberg Bay, where over 100 shacks were destroyed by fire, our ERC stepped in with POWA PACKS, blankets, and first aid kits. The Bitou Disaster Management Office relocated displaced families to the community hall, where our support continues.
- In Sedgefield, tragedy struck when a family lost everything to a fire. Our George Branch team responded quickly, providing immediate relief and comfort during this heartbreaking time.
Our hearts go out to the families who lost their loved ones, homes, and belongings. We extend our deepest appreciation to the ERC team, our branch managers, and all stakeholders who worked tirelessly to support these communities during their most difficult moments.
