George Builds the Momentum: Another Successful NutriTrack Activation

“Partnership in action — strengthening nutrition monitoring, supporting ECD centres and building healthier futures for children.”

The NutriTrack journey continued in the Garden Route today, 2 September 2026, with another successful stakeholder activation in George, generously hosted at Eagles’ Nest Ministries.

Building on the momentum from Cape Town, the activation brought together participating ECD centres, the Soul Food and University of Pretoria teams, alongside colleagues and stakeholders from the Department of Local Government and George Municipality.

Stronger Together

The day was marked by informative presentations, practical engagement and, importantly, a strong message of support for continued collaboration.

For the participating ECD centres, the activation provided an opportunity to deepen their understanding of nutrition monitoring and the role NutriTrack can play in supporting the health, growth and development of the children in their care.

As the George Branch Manager reflected:

“The activation was very informative and engaging. The principals and staff appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the importance of nutrition monitoring and how NutriTrack can contribute to the health and development of children in our care.”

This growing commitment from our centres and local stakeholders is what will ultimately turn NutriTrack from a project into meaningful action on the ground.

A Journey Powered by Partnership

Behind every successful activation is also the practical challenge of getting our people and equipment where they need to be.

Throughout this rollout, the ISUZU X-Rider provided in support of NutriTrack has proven to be a reliable and valuable partner on the road, helping transport the team and project resources across long distances as the programme moves from province to province.

From Cape Town to George, and now onward to the Eastern Cape, the vehicle is helping make this national implementation possible.

With George successfully activated, the NutriTrack team now continues east to Gqeberha, where the next activation takes place on 4 September 2026.

Thereafter, the journey returns to Gauteng, with East Rand and Tshwane activations following shortly as we continue expanding the NutriTrack footprint.

Each activation represents more than another destination on the map. It brings us closer to a connected network of ECD centres equipped to measure, identify, respond and ultimately better understand the nutritional impact we are making in children’s lives.

The kilometres may be long, but so is our commitment to reaching the children and communities we serve.
