Managing Trustee: The Soul Provider Trust, City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
Hankey Citrus and Le Roux Brothers made a wonderful donation of naartjies, cauliflower and cabbage to the Gqeberha (PE) branch of Soul Food. These types of fruit and vegetables are an ideal supplement to POWA Pack, Rise Against Hunger Mix and other foods that we distribute.
The donation couldn’t have come at a better time for the Ekuphumleni Old Age Home in Gqeberha. The Department of Social Development hasn’t honoured its financial commitments to the home which has now run out of food and whose staff have not been paid for two months.
Soul Food normally focuses on providing food to schools and ECD centres, but in this case we were happy to make an exception – thanks to Hankey Citrus and Le Roux Brothers.
