We are honored to introduce you to Mbulelo Phakathi, a remarkable individual who, despite facing significant challenges in life, remains steadfast in his pursuit of education.
Raised by his grandmother in Meyerton, in the Sedibeng district, Mbulelo’s life took a difficult turn when his grandmother passed away. At just 17 years old, he found himself living alone, without the guidance of parents or guardians.
Mbulelo resides in a one-room shack, where he battles water leakage from all directions during rainy days. Despite his hardships, Mbulelo remains determined to continue his education, facing each day with courage and resilience.

However, the weight of his struggles sometimes makes it difficult for him to accept help graciously. He worries that the assistance he receives may be temporary, leaving him to fend for himself once again.
Recently, our Soul Food manager, Kenny, extended a helping hand to Mbulelo. With the support of generous donors, Kenny provided groceries and purchased school trousers and a shirt for Mbulelo. Additionally, Kenny is committed to meeting Mbulelo’s class teacher to explore avenues for academic support.

Mbulelo’s story serves as a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of community support. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals like Mbulelo, offering hope and opportunities for a brighter future.
If you would like to assist Mbulelo, please reach out to Kenny at 066 507 0875.
